Wayne Selden
Memphis Grizzlies (NBA) are adding to their roster 23-year old small forward Wayne Selden (196-104kg-94, college: Kansas). It is actually his comeback to the Grizzlies as he has played here before. Selden He played recently at New Orleans Pelicans. In three NBA games he recorded 5.3ppg and 1.7rpg this season. Selden also played for another team Iowa Energy where in 35 NBA games he averaged impressive 18.5ppg, 4.9rpg and 2.9apg.
Selden has never been drafted by the NBA.
Among other achievements his college team won Big 12 Tournament in 2016. Selden received also NABC All-District 8 2nd Team award in 2016.
He represented USA at the World University Games in Gwangju (South Korea) two years ago. Selden's team won Gold and his stats at that event were 8 games: Score-2 (19.3ppg), 6.5rpg, 2.5apg, 1.5spg, FGP: 59.7%, 3PT: 37.5%, FT: 58.8%.
Selden graduated from University of Kansas in 2016 and it is his first season in pro basketball.
The scouts decsribe him following way: A strong defender with size and athleticism that averaged a double-double.
