Solomon Hill
Solomon Hill (6'7''-F-91, college: Arizona) hadn't been on the court for two minutes when he received a pass from Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday (6'4''-PG-90, college: UCLA) on the perimeter and decisively drained a 3-pointer. There were five more long-range baskets to come from Hill, who scored a career-high 30 points to help the New Orleans Pelicans overcome the absence of All-Star DeMarcus Cousins in a 128-112 upset over the Houston Rockets on Friday night. Hill was averaging just 6.5 points per game coming in, spending most of this season focused on defense. Against Houston, he helped the Pelicans beat the Rockets at their own, up-tempo game. "When you get that shot, you've got to take it," Hill said. "That's what I'm just getting comfortable with, just my teammates finding me and making the most of the opportunity." Hill made six of his eight field goals from beyond the 3-point line and drew fouls by attacking the hoop, hitting 8 of 9 free throws. "He looked great," Pelicans All-Star forward Anthony Davis (6'10''-C-93, college: Kentucky) said. "He was talking and being aggressive -- a guy who's just been doing what the team asks of him, what the coach asks of him, and to go out there and have a night like this was huge for him, huge for us." Davis had 24 points and 15 rebounds and Jrue Holiday added 19 points for New Orleans, which has won three of four. James Harden (6'5''-SG-89, college: Arizona St.) had 41 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists, but that was not enough to prevent Houston's first loss in four games. He was the only Houston starter to reach 10 points. Lou Williams added 14 points and Montrezl Harrell 13 in reserve roles. "James had a phenomenal game, but we were lethargic starting and they got every ball, every rebound, and every fast break and we never broke out of that," Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni said. "We have to write that one off and get to the next one."

Drew II is back at Phi.76ers - 3 hours ago
Philadelphia 76ers added to their roster 28-year old international point guard Larry Drew II (188-82kg-90, college: UCLA). It is actually his comeback to the 76ers as he has played here before. Drew II just played at Sioux Falls Skyforce. In 26 NBA G League games he had 11.5ppg, 5.0rpg, 7.4apg and 1.3spg this season. Drew II also spent pre-season at the Heat earlier that year. He has never been drafted by the NBA. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Drew II won...   [read more]

Schroeder scores 20 points, improving Hawks beat Jazz 104-90 - 13 hours ago
The Atlanta Hawks are starting to see some results from their improved play. Dennis Schroeder (5'11''-PG-93) scored 20 points , Taurean Prince (6'7''-F-94, college: Baylor) broke out of a slump with 17 and Kent Bazemore (6'5''-G/F-89, college: ODU) did a stellar job defensively, leading the Hawks past the Utah Jazz 104-90 on Monday night. Still saddled with one of the league's worst record, Atlanta (14-32) has won three of its last four, four of six and is .500 over its past 14 games. "We...   [read more]

James Harden
Harden's 28 Help Rockets Rally for 99-90 Win Over Heat - 13 hours ago
Chris Paul (6'0''-PG-85, college: Wake Forest) wasn't thrilled with how the Houston Rockets played Monday night. The veteran was perfectly happy with the outcome though. James Harden (6'5''-SG-89, college: Arizona St.) scored 28 points and the Rockets overcame a big early deficit to beat the Miami Heat 99-90. "You have those games during the season where (you) win the game and move on ... out of 82 of them sometimes it's going to be ugly, but you just want to win," Paul said. Miami led by...   [read more]
