Top 5 Richest NBA Players - Feb 22, 2017

There's great wealth in sports, and basketball is not lagging behind in any way. NBA players have been known for some of the most fascinating success stories. However, they definitely took the phrase 'from rags to riches' literally. With astounding amounts of money overflowing their bank accounts, these people are living proof that talent can get you a long way.
With frequent ups and downs, NBA players go through their careers with one goal only - scoring. The astounding amounts of money they make along the way are just an added benefit. Now, where do the greatest riches lie?

#5 - Kobe Bryant ($280 million)

This player's golden talent got him straight out of high school and into the ball court. Ever since he was drafted in 1996, Kobe has kept a loyal position with the Los Angeles Lakers.
With numerous recognitions and awards behind him, he basically gets paid for existing, as his income from endorsements is as big as his paycheck with the Lakers. Despite a sexual assault lawsuit to damp his career, it seems like his account doesn't mind any publicity.

#4 - LeBron James ($300 million)

Known as 'King' James, he holds the fourth position on our list due to the many smart decisions he has made both on and off the court. LeBron is another high school draftee whose life simply skyrocketed through the greatest number of endorsements that a single player could handle.
Back in 2014, LeBron took a chance with his share in Beats Audio which some of us wouldn't do with our bet365 bonus code. Keeping to the same policies as in basketball, this player is definitely headed up the list.

#3 - Shaquille O'Neal ($350 million)

'Shaq' is known as NBA's most recognizable public figure and a proud symbol of the great wealth in this business. Although he no longer plays, you can often find him on the commentator's place.
When he's not dealing with anything basketball-related, Shaquille is present elsewhere on the air. His numerous big screen and TV appearances, as well as on-going endorsements keep his wealth on a steady rise.

#2 - Magic Johnson ($500 million)

Understandably it's not Magic, but did you know his real name is Earvin? Mr. Earvin Johnson is a legendary NBA player, no short of imagination in his moves, rightfully defending his title.
Half a billion dollars deep, he still keeps a spark lit in his games and sticks to what he knows, choosing the LA Dodgers for one of his greatest business investments.

#1 - Michael Jordan ($1.1 billion)

The greatest of them all, Michael Jordan, has accumulated riches beyond a billion dollars, and still counting (if you could count them all). His skills earned him this rightful place, just as they have earned him one of the most valuable contracts in history.
Jordan's commercial and sports career have proven his many talents, making him the first billionaire in NBA history. And as all financial forecasts seem to show, this is not the end.

Kawhi
Leonard
Leonard scores 25 as Spurs dismantle ailing Cavs, 103-74 - 9 hours ago
The Cavaliers acknowledged having heavy legs, but there is something far weightier on the minds of the defending NBA champions. Cleveland is in the midst of one of its worst stretches of the season and there is little time to fix it. Kawhi Leonard (6'7''-F-91, college: San Diego St.) scored 25 points and the San Antonio Spurs dismantled the ailing Cavs 103-74 on Monday night in a showdown that turned into a major letdown for Cleveland. "The way we've been struggling, (the Spurs are) the l...   [read more]

Rudy Gobert
Jazz beat Pelicans 108-100 behind Gobert, hot shooting - 9 hours ago
Rudy Gobert (7'1''-C-92) had 20 points, 19 rebounds and five blocks to lead the Utah Jazz over the New Orleans Pelicans 108-100 on Monday night. Rodney Hood (6'8''-F-92, college: Duke) scored 20 points, Joe Ingles (6'8''-SF-87) added 19 and George Hill chipped in with 17 as that Jazz trio combined to make a dozen 3-pointers. Utah (45-29) swept the season series 3-0 after dominating from the perimeter for four quarters. Anthony Davis (6'10''-C-93, college: Kentucky) had 36 points and 17 re...   [read more]

Russell
Westbrook
Westbrook, Thunder top Mavs 92-91 with 14-0 finishing run - 10 hours ago
Russell Westbrook (6'3''-PG-88, college: UCLA) rescued Oklahoma City with a stunning rally and guaranteed the first losing record for Dallas in 17 full seasons under owner Mark Cuban. Westbrook hit a pull-up jumper with seven seconds left and the Thunder erased a 13-point deficit in the final four minutes for a 92-91 victory over the Mavericks on Monday night. The six-time All-Star and current NBA scoring leader, whom Cuban steadfastly claims isn't a superstar, had his third straight trip...   [read more]
