Eric Griffin
Utah Jazz (NBA) cut 27-year old forward Eric Griffin (203-88kg-90, college: Campbell).
The last season Griffin played at Galil Gilboa (Winner League) in Israel where in 33 games he averaged 14.9ppg, 7.1rpg, 1.6apg, 1.0spg and 1.8bpg. It was a very successful season in his career as he was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Israeli League Honorable Mention and to the All-Star Game.
Griffin has never been drafted by the NBA.
Among other achievements his team won Puerto Rican Manuel Zeno Gandia Cup in 2015. Griffin received also NABC Division I All-District 3 1st Team award back in 2012 at his college time.
Griffin is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in six different countries playing on four different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American and of course North American leagues. Griffin has played previously professionally in Italy (Aurira Jesi), Venezuela (Guaros), other NBA teams (Detroit Pistons and Miami Heat), Puerto Rico (Leones), United Arab Emirates (Al Naser) and Dominican Republic (Indios de San Francisco).
He attended Campbell University until 2012 and it is his sixth season in pro basketball.
Let's have closer look into Griffin's outlook: A slim forward, who is very athletic. Has impressive leaping ability and great timing for shot blocking end grabbing rebounds at both sides of the court. Played a great last season of college ball but all observers tell for him of a further upside, above all if he will be given playing time at professional level and if he will beef up a little.
Offensively, he is a great player in open court situations, but needs to add shooting range. Defensively, he's so quick and agile that he can guard all players from 2 to 5 positions

Kevin Durant
Warriors Beat Mourning Spurs In Game 3 - 2 hours ago
Playing basketball seemed trivial to the Spurs following the death of Erin Popovich. They competed as best they could Thursday night. It just wasn't enough against Golden State, again. Kevin Durant (6'9''-SF-88, college: Texas) had 26 points, nine rebounds and six assists, and the Warriors beat San Antonio 110-97 for a 3-0 series lead over the Spurs, who were still reeling from the death of Gregg Popovich 's wife. 'It was a perfect setup for a letdown,' Golden State forward Draymond Green...   [read more]

Pelicans blow out the Blazers 119-102, take 3-0 series lead - 2 hours ago
The Pelicans dominated the Blazers from start-to-finish, taking a 3-0 series lead, with a commanding 119-102 victory. Nikola Mirotic (6'10''-F/C-91) scored a career playoff-best 30 points. Mirotic racked up 14 points in the first quarter alone. 'I liked the energy that we started the game with and I loved the pace that we started the game with," said Pelicans Head Coach Alvin Gentry . "One of the things that we talked about is that the more pace we play with, then the more chances we'll h...   [read more]

Mitchell lifts Jazz past Thunder 102-95 to even series - 1 day ago
Rookie Donovan Mitchell (6'3''-G-96, college: Louisville) scored 13 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter to help the Utah Jazz defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder 102-95 on Wednesday night and tie their Western Conference playoff series at one win apiece. Derrick Favors (6'10''-F-91, college: Georgia Tech) had career playoff bests of 20 points and 16 rebounds for the Jazz, and Ricky Rubio (6'4''-G-90) had 22 points, nine assists and seven rebounds in the first playoff win of his seven-year...   [read more]
