Shawn Long
Houston Rockets (NBA) cut 24-year old former international forward Shawn Long (208-112kg-93, college: La-Lafayette).
Long ended the last season at the 76ers where in 17 NBA games he averaged 8.7ppg and 4.9rpg (#3 in the league). But the most of that year he spent at another team Delaware 87ers. In 39 games he had very impressive stats: 20.2ppg, 11.2rpg (#3 in the league), 1.6apg and 1.3bpg. It was a very successful season in his career as he was selected to USBasket.com All-D-League 2nd Team and to the All-Star Game.
Long has never been drafted by the NBA.
Among other achievements his team made it to the Sun Belt Tournament Semifinals for two years in a row (2015 and 2016). Long received also All-Sun Belt Player of the Year award in 2016 at his college time.
Long represented USA at the Panamerican Games in Toronto (Canada) two years ago. His team won Bronze.
Long graduated from University Louisiana at Lafayette in 2016 and it is his second season in pro basketball.
