Brooklyn Nets strengthened their roster with addition of 25-year old French international shooting guard Billy Ouattara (191-92). He is a dual citizen owning also Ghanian passport. Ouattara was about to sign at AS Monaco Basket in French ProA. He has played there for the last three years. The last season Ouattara played also at Monaco (also in ProA) where in 32 games he recorded 11.8ppg and 3.3rpg. He helped them to win the cup and end the regular season at the top position. Great season indeed as he was voted to Eurobasket.com French ProA All-Domestic Players Team. Ouattara also played 18 games in Basketball Champions League where he averaged 10.6ppg and 2.8rpg. He contributed to his team making it to the Basketball Champions League Final Four.
Ouattara has never been drafted by the NBA.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Eurobasket.com All-French ProA Honorable Mention in 2016.
Ouattara has been also a member of French international program for some years. He has regularly played for French senior team since 2016 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2011.
Ouattara represented France at the World University Games in Gwangju (South Korea) two years ago. His stats at that event were 8 games: 7.6ppg, 2.0rpg, 1.1apg, 1.1spg, FGP: 45.5%, 3PT: 15.0%, FT: 70.6%.
Ouattara has played also professionally for other French teams like Chalon/Saor and Denain Voltaire.
