Memphis Grizzlies (NBA) added to their roster 21-year old Canadian forward Dillon Brooks (198-98kg-96). He just graduated from Oregon (NCAA). Brooks has played there for the last three years. In 35 games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.1ppg, 3.2rpg, 2.7apg and 1.1spg last season. Brooks helped them to make it to the final and they also made it to the NCAA Final Four. A very spectacular season in his career as he was selected All-Pac-12 Co-Player of the Year and voted to All-Pac-12 1st Team and voted to NABC Division I All-America 2nd Team.
This summer he was drafted by Houston Rockets in second round (45th overall). Brooks just graduated from Oregon and it is his first season in pro basketball.
Despite young age he had great career. His college team won Pac-12 Tournament in 2016. Brooks was also voted USBWA All-District IX Player of the Year in 2016.
Brooks was also a member of Canadian international program for some years. He played for Canadian Senior National Team two years ago and previously for U19 National Team between 2014 and 2015.
Brooks also represented Canada at the Panamerican Games in Toronto (Canada) two years ago. His team won Silver and his stats at that event were 4 games: 5.0ppg, 1.3rpg.
Brooks has played previously for Father Henry Carr Secondary School.
