Costello
San Antonio Spurs (NBA) added to their roster 24-year old forward Matt Costello (206-109kg-93, college: Michigan State). He played last season at Iowa Energy. In 23 NBA G League games he had 9.6ppg, 10.2rpg, 1.8apg and 1.6bpg. Costello also spent pre-season at the Grizzlies that year. He was also tried-out by the Hawks.
Costello has never been drafted by the NBA.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his college team won Big Ten Tournament in 2014 and 2016. Costello was also voted NABC All-District 7 2nd Team in 2016.
He graduated from Michigan State in 2016 and it is his second season as a professional player.
On Costello: Long, tough post player • Strong rebounder that loves to attack the glass • Uses his intelligence and basketball IQ to his advantage • Has good timing that equates to a proficiency at blocking shots.

San Antonio Spurs roster for 2017-2018:

Guards:
Manu Ginobili
Patrick Mills
Brandon Paul

Forwards:
Rudy Gay
Joffrey Lauvergne

Knicks shut out Anthony in 2nd half, beat Thunder 111-96 - 13 hours ago
Carmelo Anthony(6'8''-SF-84, college: Syracuse)'s return to Madison Square Garden was much like the 6 1/2 years he spent playing for the Knicks. A video played on the overhead scoreboard as part of a huge welcome from the fans and franchise, followed by a fast start that gave Anthony hope he could have everything he wanted. Then things fell flat until the finish. The Knicks shut out their former All-Star in the second half and beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 111-96 on Saturday night for th...   [read more]

Rockets win again, hold off Bucks 115-111 - 13 hours ago
The Houston Rockets fought through adversity tonight, as they battled injuries, poor officiating and tired shooting legs, but they used top performances from both James Harden (6'5''-SG-89, college: Arizona St.) and Chris Paul (6'0''-PG-85, college: Wake Forest) to put away the Milwaukee Bucks and win their thirteenth straight game, 115-111. Harden finished with 31 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists, and Paul finished with 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists, including three consecutive t...   [read more]

Bucks To Waive Gary Payton II - 13 hours ago
The Bucks are planning to waive guard Gary Payton II(6'3''-G-92, college: Oregon St.) II, tweets Chris Haynes of ESPN. Haynes adds that getting rid of Payton is 'not a popular move' among teammates. Payton inked a two-way contract with Milwaukee in October, which limits him to 45 days in the NBA. He will reach that total Monday and would have to be signed to an NBA contract to continue playing for the team. The Bucks have a full 15-man roster with 14 guaranteed contracts. Haynes' report i...   [read more]
