Chris Quinn
Cleveland Cavaliers landed 30-year old point guard Chris Quinn (188-79kg-83, college: Notre Dame, agency: Priority Sports). He played recently at Tulsa 66ers. In 25 games he averaged 12.7ppg, 2.6rpg, 6.1apg and 1.3spg this season. Quinn also played at Valencia Basket (ACB) in Spanish league earlier that season. In four games he had 9.3ppg, 2.3rpg and 1.5apg. Quinn was called during the season by the Utah Jazz. The last season he played at Khimky (PBL) in Russian league. The team played in four different competitions (!!!) that year, and Quinn had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 21 PBL games he had 7.6ppg, 1.9rpg and 1.9apg. He helped them to make it to the final after they ended regular season as second best team. Quinn also played 2 games in Euroleague where he had very impressive stats: 20.0ppg, 4.5rpg, 2.0apg and 2.5spg. He also played 16 games in Eurocup where he had 7.7ppg, 1.9rpg, 2.6apg and 1.0spg. He contributed to his team winning the Eurocup championship. And finally Quinn played 18 games in VTB United League where he had 6.4ppg, 2.0rpg and 2.2apg. He contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals. The most of previous (10-11) season Quinn spent at the Spurs. In 38 games he had just 2.1ppg and 1.1apg. He contributed to his team winning the Southwest Division title. Quinn was called during the season by the Philadelphia 76ers.
He has never been drafted by the NBA. But in 2006 Butte Daredevils selected him in second round (12th overall) in the CBA draft.
The former University of Notre Dame staris in his seventh season in pro basketball. Quinn received All-Big East 1st Team award back in 2006 at his college time.
Quinn has played previously for three other NBA teams: Miami Heat, Brooklyn Nets and San Antonio Spurs.
Let's have closer look into His outlook: Very instinctive and intelligent player on the court who will be a complement to his teammates...good ballhandler with solid all-around skills at both ends of the floor... excellent good vision and innate passing abilities...has a true point guard mentality because of his unselfishness...gives the team tremendous depth on the perimeter with his ability to hit from long range.

NBA Expansion Looming With Two New Franchises - 6 hours ago
With the new Collective Bargaining Agreement complete, the next order of business for the NBA to continue capitalizing on the remarkable growth of the game is expansion. And it is coming on the horizon sooner than many think. Sources have told 16 Wins a Ring that expansion is being talked about more seriously at this point than at any other time recently. The league's first priority was to complete the CBA, but with the game in such a healthy place monetarily, and the talent level higher...   [read more]

The Toronto Raptors left the New York Knicks behind in a hurry in a big third quarter. Toronto had a 25-2 edge in the first 9:20 of the third and coasted to a 116-101 victory Sunday. "I think we just got more physical," said Kyle Lowry(6'0''-PG-86, college: Villanova), who had 16 points and nine assists before coming out late in the third quarter.
