Veteran forward Kenyon Martin (6'9''-F-77, college: Cincinnati) has barely played for the Knicks during his initial 10-day deal, but the team wants him to stick around a bit longer. New York Knicks Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations and General Manager Glen Grunwald announced today that the team has signed Martin to a second consecutive 10-day contract. Martin, 6-9, 230-pounds, has appeared in one game, playing five minutes. The 36-21 Knicks are currently third in the Eastern conference.

The Cavaliers and head coach Tyronn Lue have agreed to a five-year, $35 million contract extension, reports The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski. Lue replaced David Blatt as the Cavaliers' head coach in the middle of last season. He guided the team to its second straight NBA Finals, and then led Cleveland's massive upset over the 73-win Golden State Warriors for the title. Dion Waiters(6'4''-G-91, college: Syracuse) has agreed to a one-year, $2.9 million deal with the Miami Heat, according to the Associated Press. Going by the numbers, Waiters didn't help himself in his contract year. He posted career lows in points and assists per game while shooting 40 percent from the floor during the regular season. The Trail Blazers signed shooting guard C.J. McCollum (6'4''-G-91, college: Lehigh) to a four-year max extension worth $106 million Monday, Adrian Wojnarowski with The Vertical is reporting.
