The Rockets welcome back Brooks - Mar 5, 2013

  follow us on Facebook Twitter

Houston Rockets (NBA) landed 28-year old point guard Aaron Brooks (183-73kg-85, college: Oregon). It is actually his comeback to the Rockets as he played here before. Brooks was tested at Sacramento Kings, but was released by the team earlier this month, but the plans were changed. In 46 NBA games he averaged 8.0ppg, 1.7rpg and 2.3apg this season.
In 2007 he was drafted by the Rockets in first round (26th overall). Brooks attended University of Oregon and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.
Among other achievements his team won Chinese CBA Regular Season in 2012. Brooks received also All-Chinese CBA 1st Team award in 2012. He represented USA at the ESPN College Three Point Championships six years ago.
Brooks has played previously professionally in other NBA team (Phoenix Suns) and China (Guandong Tigers).
Let's have closer look into His outlook: (by Matthew Maurer for in 2007)
Brooks is an above average athlete with great quickness. Shifty ball handler capable of getting separation with fakes and stutter steps. Perimeter shooting has improved greatly this year in consistency and confidence Is a capable three point shooter, off the dribble or with his feet set.
Despite being a point guard, Brooks lacks the qualities that most NBA teams look for in that position. Still doesnt control the tempo very well and possesses just average court vision

Butler, Wade Lead Bulls to 111-105 Win Over Cavaliers - 4 hours ago

LeBron James wasn't holding back. Cleveland's superstar had plenty to say after the Cavaliers gave up 78 points in the paint on the way to another loss. The condensed version was this: It's time to start playing like a championship team again. Jimmy Butler (6'7''-G/F-89, college: Marquette) scored 26 points, Dwyane Wade (6'4''-G-82, college: Marquette) had 24 and the Chicago Bulls beat James and the slumping Cavaliers 111-105 on Friday night. The Brooklyn Nets have signed Donatas Motiejunas(7'0''-F/C-90) to a four-year, $37 million offer sheet. With Motiejunas being a restricted free agent, the Houston Rockets have 72 hours to match. Adrian Wojnarowski reports Motiejunas' deal includes two non-guaranteed years on the back end. The Rockets traded Motiejunas to the Detroit Pistons last February but the trade was later rescinded following concerns about the condition of his back. Courtesy of:   [read more]
