MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Martin Methodist Men's Basketball team was voted third in the Southern States Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Coaches' Preseason Poll, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon. The RedHawks finished behind Dalton State (Ga.) College and William Carey (Miss.) University, which were last year's regular-season co-champions. The final piece of the LSUA men's basketball staff has been put into place as the Generals announced the hiring of Tyler Sobey as new assistant coach. Sobey, a native of Gilmer, Texas, come to Alexandria after spending time on the staff at the University of Arkansas serving as a student manager.
