The Florida Spartans announce the signings of its players for its upcoming Training Camp. The team has been working with players currently at the RDV Sportsplex (where they have also signed a contract to play their games at the RDV beginning in May) to prepare them for what is to come. "We will placing our players at our Team Hotel at the Hilton this weekend to get secure and still have players looking to get here and get settled" said CEO Benjamin Mireles. "Its important for players to take this opportunity seriously and understand that our time is limited to wait on guys to get here and should they not commit to show up, we will give up any remaining rooms which we have blocked at the hotel".
The players currently listed for the training camp (and more will be signing soon) are Martez Lewis, Terrell Middleton, Vincent Carter, Robert King III, Zach Pope, Rickey Smith, Cameron Bruton, Mohammad Sy Savane, Rian Ricardo, and Lamel Hamberg. Other players to sign by today are Kostadin Stojanovski, Deshawn Grey, Caleb Gbotoe, and Brian Potts. More players should be arriving within the next week or two to fulfill all the requirements. The team is still looking for players especially players who are 6'7-7'0. This team is guard oriented currently and looking for some solid height to help provide the offense which the team is in search of.
The team is focused on building the team by developing players through their specified positions which they will actually compete at the next level. "Players do not understand that this is not just another team" said CEO Benjamin Mireles. "This organization is a training and development organization that teaches position play and understanding how to read film and a playbook". So at the end of the day, the team continues to look for solid players looking to get better and looking to excel in their career instead of just playing here in these basic leagues across the US. The team will also look to also place an article about the team in the local newspaper to help bring awareness about the team and are hopeful that other players will look to play with the Spartans.
