The Missouri Quake have acknowledged that they would like to find a team to play on January 23, 2016 for a charity event to help raise money for a local high school athlete which has been noted to have a collapsed lung. Here is a statement from the Missouri Quake: "He did this during a game he stood a charge in the 2nd quarter and the charge popped a blister that was on his lung causing it to collapse. He is such a strong guy with love Dr the game so much that he finished the 2nd quarter. And halftime and part of the 3rd quarter before he could go no longer. Also would like to put out there that this will be a dinner and a game. So your ticket will pay for your food as well as entry to the game." (CEO - Austin Bridges)
It is very unfortunate a student athlete at such a young age, to have an unfortunate accident such as this take place in their life. "We wish the family and friends of this young man our very best and will keep them in our prayers" said CEO Benjamin Mireles. "We are hopeful one of our teams or any team for that matter, can assist the Quake with their goal to help out in any way possible with a charity game". The league takes pride in supporting other teams and cities and especially the youth in the teams communities and cities. From the CBDL and all its teams, we wish this child a full recovery.
