The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Capitale-Nationale (3-1) in Montreal, QC on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by NDG (4-1) 76-69. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Capitale-Nationale. It was a key game for the top position in the league. NDG have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Defending champion Capitale-Nationale dropped to the third place with one game lost. NDG are looking forward to face Basket R. (#5) in Trois-Rivieres, QC in the next round. Capitale-Nationale's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montreal, QC to the arena NDG.
Important game to mention about took place in Thetford Mines, QC. Fourth ranked Monteregie (2-1) saved a 1-point derby victory on the road edging much higher ranked Thetford M. (4-6) 124-123 on Sunday evening. Monteregie maintains fourth position with 2-1 record. Thetford M. at the other side keeps the second place with six games lost. Monteregie will play against Basket R. (#5) in Trois-Rivieres, QC in the next round. Thetford M. will have a break next round.

Thetford M. managed to secure a 6-point victory 98-92 on Wednesday. Thetford M. maintains second position with 4-6 record having just five point less than leader NDG. Loser Royal dropped to the bottom place with three games lost. They share the position with Basket R.. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Royal celebrate the title - 9 months ago
Royal have been crowned the LBQ champions. They celebrated the victory in the Grand Final on Sunday. Royal held off Capitale-Nationale 80:70 to earn the trophy. Royal jumped to an early lead. They posted a 42:31 halftime advantage. Royal maintained the cushion throughout the second half and raced to the victory. Royal advanced in the Grand Final beating NDG 81:75 in Saturday's semifinal clash. Capitale-Nationale prevailed against Thetford Mines 71:63 in another semifinal encounter.   [read more]
Round 7: Capitale-Nationale keeps a leadership position - 9 months ago
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Capitale-Nationale as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Capitale-Nationale defeated 3rd placed Monteregie in Montreal, QC 77-73. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Monteregie at the other side dropped to the fourth place with five games lost.
