Page-Dynamo and Revolution will play in the LBQ Final later tonight. They celebrated victories in respective semifinals.
Page-Dynamo overcame Royal 103:98 to reach the title game. Royal led throughout the bigger part of the game. But Page-Dynamo went on a decisive rally late in regulation and sealed the win at the end. Page-Dynamo were paced by 33 points from Dwayne Buckley (6'3''-G/F-83). Manix Auriantal (6'2''-G-80, college: NYIT) netted 21 points in the victory. Samuel Audet-Sow (6'6''-F-80) responded with 28 points for Royal. Charles Fortier (6'4''-G/F-79) had 27 points in the loss.
Revolution prevailed against Jaguars 88:81 in another semifinal clash. It was a tight battle from start to finish. Kevin Loiselle (6'6''-F) stepped up with 21 points to lead Revolution to a tough victory. Kyle Desmarais (6'2''-PG-87, college: Cent.Conn.St.) produced 20 points for the winners. Evens Laroche (6'4''-F) accounted for 25 points for Jaguars. Youssef Ouahrig (5'11''-G) chipped in 13 points for the losing side.   



Royal celebrate the title - 11 months ago
Royal have been crowned the LBQ champions. They celebrated the victory in the Grand Final on Sunday. Royal held off Capitale-Nationale 80:70 to earn the trophy. Royal jumped to an early lead. They posted a 42:31 halftime advantage. Royal maintained the cushion throughout the second half and raced to the victory. Royal advanced in the Grand Final beating NDG 81:75 in Saturday's semifinal clash. Capitale-Nationale prevailed against Thetford Mines 71:63 in another semifinal encounter.   [read more]
Round 7: Capitale-Nationale keeps a leadership position - 11 months ago
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Capitale-Nationale as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Capitale-Nationale defeated 3rd placed Monteregie in Montreal, QC 77-73. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Monteregie at the other side dropped to the fourth place with five games lost. Round 6: #1 NDG is defeated by Monteregie - 11 months ago
What a coincidence that all visitors won their games. The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked NDG (6-3) in Montreal, QC on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Monteregie (4-2) 98-91. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of NDG. Monteregie have a solid three-game winning streak.
