French-speaking Canadian province of Quebec has it's first semi-pro league. LBQ just started with the two games in day one.
Laurentides Revolution team beat Jaguars 93-79, thanks to their second half performance.
The Revolutions were lead by Pascal Fleury (7'2''-C-70, college: UMBC) who took control of the boards and allowed his team to prevail offenisvely.
Bobby Miller (5'10''-PG-74, college: S.New Hampshire) contributed with 22 points and 11 passes.
Alexandre Bernard (6'5''-F) added 15 points and 8 rebounds.
In the second game Seigneurs got 11-point victory over Page-Dynamo 64-53.
Seigneurs were lead by playmaker Yul Michel (6'2''-G-80). He was helped by Leonel Saintil (6'5''-F) (17 points) and Jayson Desormeaux.
Jean-Richard Volcy (6'8''-F-82, college: N.Michigan) is still with JL Bourg in France and should join the team soon.

Royal celebrate the title - 2 Years ago
Royal have been crowned the LBQ champions. They celebrated the victory in the Grand Final on Sunday. Royal held off Capitale-Nationale 80:70 to earn the trophy. Royal jumped to an early lead. They posted a 42:31 halftime advantage. Royal maintained the cushion throughout the second half and raced to the victory. Royal advanced in the Grand Final beating NDG 81:75 in Saturday's semifinal clash. Capitale-Nationale prevailed against Thetford Mines 71:63 in another semifinal encounter.   [read more]
Round 7: Capitale-Nationale keeps a leadership position - 2 Years ago
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Capitale-Nationale as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Capitale-Nationale defeated 3rd placed Monteregie in Montreal, QC 77-73. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Monteregie at the other side dropped to the fourth place with five games lost. Round 6: #1 NDG is defeated by Monteregie - 2 Years ago
What a coincidence that all visitors won their games. The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked NDG (6-3) in Montreal, QC on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Monteregie (4-2) 98-91. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of NDG. Monteregie have a solid three-game winning streak.
