Santa Fe guard Ivan Smith had a rare perfect scoring night on Tuesday against Victory Rock Prep, scoring 20 points on 5-for-5 shooting from the field and 8-for-8 from the free throw line to lead the Saints past VRP 81-60. He was 2-for-2 from behind the three point arc. Monday night the 1-0 MCC Tigers hosted the 1-0 Tritons of Iowa Central Community College. In a fast paced shootout, the Tigers outlasted the Tritons 86-72. Again, Mohamed Thiam (6'8''-F) had a big game for the Tigers as he dropped 23 points with 7 rebounds. The Roadrunners traveled to Carbondale, Illinois, on Sunday, Oct. 22, to participate in the John A. Logan Jamboree. SFCC went 0-3 at the event. The format for the event consisted of two 22-minute running clock halves. SFCC took on Lakeland Community College in their first scrimmage and fell 54-49.
