Rochester will play in the NJCAA Division III Tournament Final. They outgunned Davidson County CC 105:103 in an exciting semifinal clash on Friday. Demetrius Cady (G) fired 23 points to lead the winners. Rochester jumped to a 53:47 lead at the interval. But Davidson County denied the deficit in the second half. They tied things up at 92 at the end of regulation forcing overtime. Rochester sank 13 points in the extra period and raced to the victory. Marquise Walker (F) finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Ben Ratliff (F) added 17 points in the win. Tre Williams (G) stepped up with game-high 34 points for Davidson County. Isiah Gill (G) had 20 points in the loss.

Jordan Brangers (6'2''-G) netted 25 points and Deshawn Corprew (6'6''-F) bucketed 15 as the South Plains College men's basketball team overcame a 12-point halftime deficit to clip New Mexico Junior College 83-74 Thursday night at the Texan Dome. The Central Community College men's basketball team lost at Raider Fieldhouse on Tuesday night to visiting Iowa Western Community College, 88-65. The Raiders played tough in the first half and led 39-35 over the Reivers. However, IWCC picked up steam in the second half and outscored CCC, 53-26.
