Tyray Petty
IBA veteran Tyray Petty (6'3''-G-87, college: Utah Valley) has recently been offered a professional contract to play in Bolivia. The 6'3 swingman has signed with La Salle-UPB Cochabamba of Liga Superior, the top-level league in the country. It is the second opportunity Petty has earned to play outside North America after a stint with the Kenosha Ballers.

A native of Milwaukee, Petty played collegiate basketball at NCAA Division I Utah Valley (2008-10) and was named All-Great West Conference Honorable Mention after his senior season. The 27-year old has seen several stops in his pro career, including the St. Louis Phoenix (2012), Corpus Christi Clutch (2013) and a season in Cyprus with the Near East University team (2013-14 North League champions).

Most recently Petty played with the Kenosha Ballers this fall, averaging over 25 points and 8 rebounds-per-game. Earlier this season Petty was named Week 4 IBA Player of the Week.

Kenosha Head Coach Tony Moore was excited for Petty, referring to him as the gunslinger not only for his shooting ability, but his status as a professional. Moore added, "I'm thrilled for Tyray getting an opportunity abroad. Thats what the organization is about; second chances."

The Independent Basketball Association was established in 2011 with teams based in the Midwest. The league has expanded to 16 teams while holding two separate seasons each calendar year. A Spring season (March-June) is followed by a traditional Winter season (September-January) with teams competing in one or both competitions.
