Bourbonnais IL: Two games were played in Week 3 of the Independent Basketball Association (IBA) regular season with the Kenosha Ballers (129-105 vs International Racers) and St. Louis Trotters (118-114 vs Kankakee County Soldiers) victorious. Several individual performances were on display, but one stood out to earn the IBA Player of the Week.

Marlowe Currie (6'7''-F-78, college: S.Indiana) of the St. Louis Trotters (2-0) helped his team defeat the 5-time IBA Champion Soldiers, scoring 30 points (shooting 11 of 20 from the field) while adding nine rebounds, four assists and two steals.

A 6'8" wingman who played his college ball at NCAA Division II Southern Indiana University (2000-02), Currie is 39th on the all-time scorers list for the Golden Eagles.

ABOUT IBA

The Independent Basketball Association was established in 2011 with teams based in the Midwest. The league has expanded to 18 teams while holding two separate seasons per calendar year. A spring season (March-June) is followed by a traditional winter season (September-December) with teams competing in one and/or both competitions each year.

St Louis Trotters take IBA Championship - 5 months ago
The St.Louis Trotters brought home the Spring IBA Championship last weekend. In the semi-finals the Trotters took on the #1 seed and undefeated Kenosha Ballers (10-0). The Trotters came away with a close victory 89 to 86 on the Ballers home court as they hosted the playoffs. Kenosha Ballers keep the perfect record in 2017 spring season - 6 months ago
Kenosha Ballers keep the perfect record in 2017 season as they improved to an 8-0 record. In the top game of the round they beat Milwaukee Falcons 115-102. Milwaukee Falcons is second with a 5-2 record. Memphis Blues and Windy city Blazers have the same 4-3 records to share the third place. Memphis Blues overcame Peoria Panthers 125-100. Windy city Blazers meanwhile lost to Milwaukee Falcons 110-120.   [read more]

Kenosha Ballers Repeat As IBA Champion - 11 months ago
Two-time champion. The Kenosha Ballers won their second-straight Independent Basketball Association title today by defeating expansion team Milwaukee Falcons in Kenosha. Milwaukee entered the league playoffs as the top seed. They easily defeated the Illinois Hoopville Warriors in the semifinal 115-91 on Saturday.
