The 2014 IBA Fall Season begins tonight at the KVPD Recreational Center when the Kankakee Soldiers host the International Racers at 5:00pm. The Soldiers look to rebound from a semi-final loss to eventual champion Grand Rapids Fusion in the Spring season and capture their fourth straight Fall Season Championship. The Soldiers is the only Fall Season Champion the IBA has ever known winning all three previous league championships. Kankakee will have their hands full this season with some veteran teams looking to come in and take the crown. Veteran IBA teams the International Racers, Kenosha Ballers, and the Saint Louis Trotters return better than last season, and all feel like they have a shot at the Championship this season. This season the Midwest team will welcome two of the best teams in the United States as power houses Houston Xperience and the Schnectady Legends join the IBA as full time members this season which sets up the them for the season labeled as "The Battle of the Regions". Barry Bradford Commissioner of the IBA stated "With New York and Texas represented this season for the first time together and a strong Midwest region, we think this will be one of the best IBA seasons ever. The talent will be on full display and we will get to see which region will claim the trophy" The IBA has comprised a Pre-Season list of players to watch for and will follow the progress through the season to see if these individuals lived up to the hype.
