Illinois Markham City Racers 122, Lansing Capitals 106

The Racers finish 1-1 this week beating the Captials Sunday night. They were led by Jimmie Miles (6'2''-G-84, college: Robert Morris) who scored 30 point, 7 rebounds, and had a pair of assits and steals. Another key player in the Racers' victory was Jason Warren who recorded a double-double scoring 15 points and bringing in 13 rebounds. Four other Racers scored in double figures. Taylor Williams (6'7''-PF-90, college: Holy Cross Coll.) had 23, Derrell Connor had 20, Hampton had 16, and Jermaine Love had 14. The Capitals were led by David Lawson (6'1''-PG-89, college: Reinhardt) who scored 30 points and had 7 rebounds. Several of his teammates also were in double-figures. Maurice Benson (6'0''-PG-84, college: Indiana Tech) and Jason Franskin both scored 21. Trivillion had 18. Baily had 11 points and also reeled in 14 rebounds.

Grand Rapids Fusion 139, Windy City 106

The Fusion pick up a win on their home court against the Blazers Sunday afternoon. Several of the Fusion players shared the scoring load. Pete Trammell (6'5''-G/F-86, college: Grand Valley St.) led the charge with 26 points and a pair of assists. Mantel and Terrence Shawell (6'3''-F) also scored over 20 points. Anthony Simmons (6'8''-F-85, college: Purdue-NCent.) from the Blazers scored a game-high of 31. Mike Kimbrough scored 23 and Kierre Miller scored 22. Taylor scored 12.

Kenosha Ballers Repeat As IBA Champion - 4 months ago
Two-time champion. The Kenosha Ballers won their second-straight Independent Basketball Association title today by defeating expansion team Milwaukee Falcons in Kenosha. Milwaukee entered the league playoffs as the top seed. They easily defeated the Illinois Hoopville Warriors in the semifinal 115-91 on Saturday. Ballers bring home title - 9 months ago
A grueling eight days ended with a championship for the Kenosha Ballers and coach Tony Moore . The Ballers claimed their first Independent Basketball Association title with an 87-83 win over the defending champion St. Louis Trotters before an estimated crowd of 300 at the Boys and Girls Club in Kenosha on Saturday.
