Coach Priett was asked after the game "how did we pull off the win with not having any practices and putting the team together in such a short amount of time?" "Well I told the guys before the game y'all all have played basketball somewhere. Either it was high school, college, or overseas, so let's go out there and play," said Coach Pruett . The Saints team started out fast taking the lead on a 15-4 run that was lead by Arnold Louis (6'7''-F-90, college: Savannah St., agency: HMS) with 6 points and two offensive putback dunks that brought the fans to there feet. At halftime (53-40), Coach David Pruett told the guys they are going to make a run, to let's fight through it. Going into the 4th quarter the Saints were up 10 points (71-61) and Coach Pruett told the guys the game was all about runs. "We go on a run, then the Stars went on a run, so now it comes down to who really wants it and defense." With 4 minutes to go the Stars took there first and only lead (88-87). The Saints called a timeout and Coach Pruett told the guys to stop the bleeding now and play basketball...and the rest was history as the Saints found a way to finish the game strong. After the game, Coach Pruett was asked about Markale Ball, Jean Rivera and Anold Louis play tonight."Well to start off I have to give it up to Markale he gave the team a spark off the bench with 17 points and some great defense and hit some big key shots down the stretch to seal the game. We need that play from him every time he steps on the court. Well what can I say about Arnold he is a coaches dream to coach, he will do the little things. He lead the team in offense rebounds with (6). Arnold just came back from Overseas where he was there for two years. Having Arnold this year is big for us. Jean lead us tonight with 24 points. He lead the team on offense and defense and he is only going to get better as the season goes along." After the game Jean Rivera was asked What you think about the game tonight and how did y'all pull off the win with no practices at all? "The game was a lot of fun. Very exciting. All of us new players and old players had instant chemistry on the court. We all wanted to and we all gave everything we had on the court to pull off the win." The Tampa Bay Saints are back in action on April 23rd as they travel to Palm Beach to play the Palm Beach Knights. Game time is set for 5:00pm.
