Chris Schieman Media is excited to announce it will be the official broadcasting provider for the East Coast Basketball League (ECBL) in 2017, for the third consecutive season.

In the Spring and Summer of 2017 the league will broadcast 10 regular season games, plus the ECBL Championship and All Star Game. Chris Schieman Media will broadcast all 10 regular season games as well as the ECBL Championship on June 24. The 2017 ECBL All Star Game will be produced by NetCast Sports.

Calling the action will be broadcasting veteran Chris Schieman. 'It's exciting to be working again with the ECBL,' Schieman said. 'The league has been a very loyal client and I have made upgrades to equipment to ensure this year's broadcasts look great.' The broadcasts will feature high-definition (when available) and an increased emphasis on player information and statistics.

The entire 2017 ECBL Game of the Week schedule:

March 19: North Carolina Coyotes vs Petersburg Cavaliers
March 25: Florence Wildcats at PrimeTime Players
April 1: Savannah Storm at Carolina Crusaders
April 8: Lumberton Showstoppers at Lumberton Showstoppers
April 22: South Carolina All Stars at South Carolina All Stars
April 29: Lumberton Showstoppers at Winston-Salem Certified
May 6: Charlotte Golden Bulls at SC Upstate Redhawks
May 13: Petersburg Cavaliers at Florence Wildcats
May 20: Hampton Roads Warriors at PrimeTime Players
May 27: Carolina Thunder at High Point Hawks
June 24: ECBL Championship at TBD

Each game will be available live and on-demand on the ECBL YouTube. Broadcast dates and teams are subject to change, however each team in the league will have at least one broadcast.

'It's vital for the league to broadcast each team,' Schieman said. 'These broadcasts have led directly to increased sponsorship opportunities, but more importantly, they are helping ECBL players sign pro contracts in other leagues. We want to make sure each player has a showcase game to be seen on the largest video platform in the world, YouTube.'

The ECBL enters its third season as one of the most stable minor leagues in professional basketball. The league returns most teams from last season and has added teams in Lumberton, NC, Charlotte, NC, Greenville, NC, Hampton Roads, VA, Florence, SC and Dillon, SC.

The PrimeTime Players returned to York Prep Academy in Rock Hill for their second of seven home games at their new home venue against the Savannah Storm. The Storm coming in having won two of their first three games were looking to make an early statement to the league by trying to knock off the top team in the ECBL Southern Conference. The backcourt duo of Grayson David and Calvin Hamilton got off to a good first quarter start combining for 16 first quarter for the visitors, but were ma...   [read more]

Thunder Stun Hawks In ECBL Debut - 27 days ago
The Carolina Thunder didn't have to wait long to get into the win column. They travelled to High Point, NC on March 26 and picked up their first win of the season. With the majority of the teams in the league having played at least three games, the Thunder couldn't wait to get started. High Point Hawks came in the game as the heavy favorite, but this unknown team out of Dillon, SC came and shocked the ECBL. The Thunder had their hands full from the start, getting down 17 points. They cou...   [read more]

PrimeTime Players Remain Unbeaten, Hold Of Wildcats - 29 days ago
The PrimeTime Players returned to Banks Street Gym in Fort Mill for their lone appearance at their former home as they hosted the expansion Florence Wildcats. Coming off of two hard fought road losses, the Wildcats came into Fort Mill ready to play and also brought a crowd with them to cheer them on in their first matchup with the two-time defending ECBL champions. The game went back and forth for the first part of the first quarter, but after a Destine Albert (6'0''-PG) assist to Heyvis...   [read more]
