PrimeTime Players Pull Away Then Hold Off Storm 127-116 - Apr 9, 2016

The Savannah Storm hosted the PrimeTime Players Saturday in front of a packed house at the Local Boys and Girls Club after a last minute venue change from Johnson HS. The PrimeTime Players had also came short handed having two active players on IR, and then having to leave three player behind when the Highway was closed in the Charlotte Area. The Storm came out with full court pressure looking to take advantage of the numbers game and opened up a quick ten point lead before newcomer Sean Morgan Jr and Pierre Stines started working together download combining for 18 first quarter points where the scored the last 14 points in the quarter as PrimeTime was able to open up a 27-20 lead at the end of the quarter.
The second quarter James Dillard started the quarter off with four straight baskets that seemed to open things up from the outside as Chris Moore and Terell Smith where able to combine for 9 three pointers in the quarter including a half court buzzer beater by Moore at the half to push the PrimeTime Players lead up to 69-50 and had everyone in the gym standing. The second half the Storm again started off with full court pressure and where able to slow PrimeTime scoring but where not able to get anything going with Pierre Stines, Sean Morgan, and James Dillard limiting the Storm to one shot, while Stines also had 5 blocks and 2 steals in the quarter. Sean Morgan scored 7 straight points in the quarter including a three pointer and Terell Smith added four three pointers as PrimeTime where able to maintain a 19 point lead going into the 4th quarter. The Storm opened up the 4th quarter on a quick 10-0 run and then where able to get to with in 112-105 after three straight three pointers by Maurice Brown who finished with a team high 32pts with 4 minutes to go. The last 4 minutes Chris Moore and Sean Morgan combined for the final the final 15 points of the quarter including 16 total from Moore. Chris Moore led all scorers with 42pts and also added 9 assists and rebounds for the game. Terell Smith added 29pts, Sean Morgan 23pts, Pierre Stines finished with 14pts 17 rebounds and 7 blocks, and James Dillard III also finished with a double double with 19pts and 13 rebounds.
The two teams will rematch this Saturday April 9th in Fort Mill at banks Street at 5:00pm.
  



North posts a 163-150 overtime win over South in All Star Game - 20 days ago
North posted a 163-150 overtime win over South in All Star Game played last night in ECBL. South managed to win the first period 32-30 and led 78-74 at the halftime. They also enjoyed a 108-88 lead midway through the third period, but lost the game. North reduced to 122-105 at the end of the third period, and then pushed the tempo in the fourth quarter. Both teams were tied at 142-142, while North went on a final lead in overtime.   [read more]

PrimeTime Players - Carolina Thunder 123-105 PrimeTime Players celebrate the third consecutive ECBL title beating Carolina Thunder 123-105 in the Final game.
