Davon Thomas
South Carolina All-Stars will look to bounce back from a season opening loss at Fort Gordon. On Saturday, March 5, the All-Stars travelled to Augusta to play the Fort Gordon Eagles in the first game of the new East Coast Basketball League season. The game ended in a 124-120 lose for the All-Stars of Spartanburg.

The All-Stars relied on a very strong performance from Davon Thomas (6'5''-F) who recorded a double-double, scoring 28 points, and recording 10 rebounds. Omar Sanders (6'7''-F-90, college: S.Carolina St.) showed to be another asset following his team-high 31 points, in exhibition game. His sequel to that performance was 20 points and 17 rebounds.

Coach Beason said after the game, "Overall I feel we played poorly on defense and just lacked effort on the boards. Davon Thomas stepped up and played a great overall game. Offensively we had most players in double figures and shot the ball decent. We do have to take care of the ball better it just seemed like we had stretches that we turned the ball over in excess. I look forward to having everyone this upcoming weekend as we look to get a victory Saturday!"

Davon Thomas commented after the game saying, "Knowing how valuable I can be to the team, it was a must that I just go out and play my game, like my big brother Arizona." Davon's older brother, Arizona Reid (6'5''-F-86, college: High Point), is currently playing overseas in the Philippines.

This team will look for their first league victory of the season on March 12 facing the Carolina Crusaders. Game time is scheduled for 3:00 PM at Cleveland Chapel Baptist Church gymnasium.

PrimeTime Players traveled to Anson High School to take on the Charlotte Bulls who were hosting their first-ever ECBL home game this past Saturday. Both teams came out slow in the first period before Charlotte was able to hit four straight three point baskets over the last two minutes of the first quarter to take a 22-18 lead at the end of the quarter. The second quarter the combination of Brian Mobley (6'6''-SF-87, college: Johnson C. Smith) and Chris Moore (6'2''-PG-86, college: Charle...   [read more]

Pinkston pours in 29 points as Petersburg Cavs edge Warriors 95-92 - 16 days ago
By Nicholas Vandeloecht The Petersburg Cavaliers slipped into a double-digit hole, trailed at halftime, took a double-digit lead of their own on 15 straight points, fell into a closely contested battle for the lead in the final stretch and then narrowly edged the visiting Hampton Roads Warriors 95-92 for their first home game win in a wild seesaw of a matchup. For Petersburg Cavaliers head coach Kyle Dixon , that seesaw "wasn't fun at all." Nevertheless, he was happy with the end result.    [read more]
