Former CD East Standouts Head the New Faces on 2014 Horizon Roster

Jonathan Breeden and Kevin Onyeaka, former Central Dauphin East standouts from their 2009 District AAAA Chapionship team, have been added to the 2014 Harrisburg Horizon roster.

Jonathan was selected Male Athlete of the Year by the Patriot News as a high school senior and was named MVP of the District 3 tournament. He went on to play three years at Siena College before transferring to West Chester University for his senior year.

Kevin was also a member of the CD East 2009 Championship squad. The 6 5 forward played two years for Penn State Mount Alto before moving to the main campus and becoming a walk-on for Coach Pat Chambers Nittany Lions.

In all, the 2014 Horizon will have half of their squad from the greater Harrisburg area. Joining Jonathan and Kevin is 6 5 forward Josiah Peay, who played for the University of Maine, is now living with his family in the area. Two former Harrisburg High players, 6 2 guard, Allen Richardson out of Central Penn College, and 6 4 forward, Willie Buie Jr., add to the local ranks. Rounding out the local sixsome is Kenton Alston, former Steel High standout, who holds all of Penn State Harrisburgs scoring records.

The Horizon will welcome back former EBA MVP Charlie Parker and EBA All-Star Cody Boone. Parker has spent the last two seasons in Iceland and Denmark. The 6 10 Boone has been rehabbing various injuries.

Completing the squad are Anthony Trautman (Lebanon Valley), back for his third year, Demond Vance, the rapidly improving sharpshooter from Millersville University, fresh off his 1st team All-EBA season, and newcomer Denzel Jackson, the 6 6 forward from Philadelphia out of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
