Hey My name is Justin Moore (5'9''-G-80, college: St.Augustine) player and one of the authors of the EBA section for Usbasket.com each week im gonna try my best to interview coaches, gm's,and players from the EBA as the EBA season heats up going into the play-off run. This 09 season has been one of the most talented groups of teams in the EBA in a while these will be my chronicles from the eastern basketball alliance first up Delaware Destroyers coach and former NBA player Dallas Comegys

1.How are the Destroyers doing this season?and how do you think the EBA has improved this season?

The Destroyers are working hard and playing ball, but there is always room for improvement. The Destroyers have made great sacrifies to becoming a good basketball team, and I am very pleased and thankful for that commitment.

The biggest improvement in the 2009 EBA season, is the number of good basketball teams and the level of competition.

2. Coach Dallas you are a former first round pick in the NBA and has played ball all over the world what is the talent level in the EBA and what will it take for alot of these guys to get contracts oversea's?

The EBA has many talented men playing in the 2009 season/league. The men just need to be given a chance, like anything in life.

To get an overseas contract is not easy at all. As a talented player, each individual player must work hard on their basketball skills, show signs of improvement & dedication, and accept coaching. They also need to make sure that they are always conducting themselves in a professional manner at all times, on and off the court, because they never know who is watching or scouting them.

3. With the EBA growing this season what steps do you think need to be made to take the EBA to the next level so the United States and other countries can take notice to the talent and competition of the EBA?

The first steps for improving the EBA, comes from the EBA league itself, the teams and the players. We all have to be fully committed and share one common goal, show casing the talented players within the EBA. I feel that, if the EBA will host an ALL-STAR game for the men & women, both the EBA league and its players will benefit. This would showcase your better players within the league. Hosting an ALL-STAR game give people, agents, scouts and other contacts a chance to see the EBA growth & its talented ALL-STAR players.

4.The Destroyers have been in the EBA,NPBL,and you guys were apart of the USBL where does the EBA rank and where do you see the Delaware destroyers in the near future as the league grows and how can EBA help showcase its talent?

The Destroyers were extremely blessed to have played in the USBL. The NPBL and the EBA has also given us the chance to participate within their respected leagues and I am always thankful for the chance and opportunity. I will say tha each league has been a challenge for the Destroyers. I hope that the I.A.F. Basketball family continue to give the men & women the opportunity to continue their careers as a player. I.A.F. has always wanted the men & women to play against the best players around. As, I said before, the EBA should have an ALL-STAR game for the best player, and if that is done the players talent would be showcased.

Thank You,
Coach Dallas A. Comegys
