Polk
Springfield Armor released 26-year old guard Christian Polk (190-87, college: UTEP, agency: Interperformances). In 32 D-League games he had 9.4ppg, 2.1rpg and 1.6apg this season. Polk also played at Polpharma (TBL) in Polish league earlier that season. In only one game he recorded 5 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals.
Last year (a year after he left the college) Polk was drafted by Springfield Armor (D-League) in second round (29th overall).
He attended Univ.of Texas at El Paso until 2011 and it is his second season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as Polk played in the final of C-USA Tournament for two years in a row (2010 and 2011). He was also voted HS Region Player of the Year and a first-team all-state selection back in 2006.
Polk could be described: Polk, is a very good shooting guard with an excellent ball-handler, able to change directions quickly and get to the rim in strong fashion, where he can finish in a variety of ways. Can beat opponents from long range: is a very good shooter with NBA 3 poins range. Played two seasons at Arizona State (2006-07, 2007-08), as a freshman in '06-''07 averaged 12.0 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 0.8 steals while making 26 starts, his scoring average ranked seventh-best among freshmen in school annals: At Utep (2010-2011 senior season) shot the ball at 45% from three. Can defend 1-2-3 position. Can help at the PG; had 3 ass. per game in senior year at UTEP.
