Canton Charge released 27-year old guard Alex Ruoff (198-86, college: W.Virginia). In 24 D-League games he played this season he had 7.3ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.6apg and 1.1spg.
The last season Ruoff played at Okapi Aalstar (Ethias League) in Belgian league. In 9 games last year he recorded 9.6ppg, 3.4rpg, 1.8apg and 1.8spg.
Last year (three years after he left the college) Ruoff was drafted by Erie Bay Hawks (D-League) in second round (28th overall).
He attended West Virginia University until 2009 and it is his fourth season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as Ruoff played in the final of Belgian League for two years in a row (2010 and 2011). He was also voted Big East Scholar-Athlete of the Year back in 2009 at his college time.
Ruoff has played previously for Liege Basket.
