Canton Charge released Ruoff - Feb 7, 2013

Shelvin Mack
Canton Charge released 27-year old guard Alex Ruoff (198-86, college: W.Virginia). In 24 D-League games he played this season he had 7.3ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.6apg and 1.1spg.
The last season Ruoff played at Okapi Aalstar (Ethias League) in Belgian league. In 9 games last year he recorded 9.6ppg, 3.4rpg, 1.8apg and 1.8spg.
Last year (three years after he left the college) Ruoff was drafted by Erie Bay Hawks (D-League) in second round (28th overall).
He attended West Virginia University until 2009 and it is his fourth season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as Ruoff played in the final of Belgian League for two years in a row (2010 and 2011). He was also voted Big East Scholar-Athlete of the Year back in 2009 at his college time.
Ruoff has played previously for Liege Basket.

Josh Magette finds way back to D-League - 2 hours ago

Free agent point guard Josh Magette (6'1''-G-89, college: Al.-Huntsville) has joined the D-League and is likely to play for the Los Angeles D-Fenders. Magette was waived by the Atlanta Hawks on Oct. 23. He has played for the D-Fenders on two occasions (2013 and 2015), as well as for Landstede Basketbal Zwolle and ASA Koroivos Amaliadas He has played for the Memphis Grizzlies, Orlando Magic and Brooklyn Nets in previous NBA summer leagues. Undrafted Yogi Ferrell headed to Long Island - 3 hours ago

The Long Island Nets have reached a contract agreement with point guard Yogi Ferrell (6'0''-PG-93, college: Indiana). He was ranked the No. 3 point guard in the nation coming out of high school and played all four seasons in college, but was not drafted this past July. Ferrell joined the Brooklyn Nets for the 2016 NBA Summer League. In four games, he averaged 8.8 points on 44 percent shooting. Lamar Patterson expected to join Bighorns - 3 hours ago

Former NBA swingman Lamar Patterson (6'5''-G/F-91, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Pensack Sports) has agreed to sign a D-League contract and is expected to join the Reno Bighorns. Patterson has spent time with the Atlanta Hawks and was in the most recent training camp with the Sacramento Kings. The Bighorns are the Kings' D-League affiliate. Patterson previously played in the D-League with the Canton Charge and Austin Spurs. He spent the 2014-15 season with Tofas Bursa of the Turkish league.   [read more]
