Shengelia
21-year old power forward Tornike Shengelia (203-PF-91) put on an amazing game in the last round for Springfield A. and receives a USBasket.com Player of the Week award for round 32.
He had a double-double of 39 points and 18 rebounds, while his team beat Maine RC (#1, 16-9) 123-115. Springfield A. maintains the 7th position in D-League league. Springfield A. is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-15 record. In the team's last game Shengelia had a remarkable 88.9% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Springfield A. and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Tornike Shengelia averages just after two games 30.5ppg, 14.0rpg and 9.0apg.

Second best performed player last round was Jeremy Lamb (195-G/F-92) of Tulsa 66ers. He is a swingman in his first season at Tulsa 66ers. In the last game Lamb recorded impressive 30 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. It was enough for Tulsa 66ers to edge the lower-ranked Iowa E. (#8, 6-16) by 5 points 111-106. This victory allowed Tulsa 66ers to move up to 4th position in the standings. His team's 11-11 record is not bad at all. Lamb is one of the most experienced players at Tulsa 66ers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward DaJuan Summers (203-F-88) of league's leader Maine RC. Summers got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for ten rebounds . Despite Summers' great performance Maine RC lost 115-123 to the lower-ranked Springfield A. (#7, 7-15). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Maine RC needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 16 victories and 9 lost games. Summers has a great season in D-L. After 19 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.8ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 8.5rpg (9th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Rasual Butler (201-F-79) of Tulsa 66ers - 26 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Elijah Millsap (198-G-87) of Los Angeles D. - 25 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Solomon Bozeman (185-PG-87) of Texas L. - 22 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists
7. Terrel Harris (196-G-87) of Rio Grande VV - 22 points, 15 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Paul Harris (193-F/G-86) of Iowa E. - 20 points and 13 rebounds
9. Tyshawn Taylor (190-G-90) of Springfield A. - 21 points, 4 rebounds and 10 assists
10. Daniel Orton (208-F-90) of Tulsa 66ers - 19 points and 13 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
