Josh Boone
Iowa Energy tabbed 29-year old power forward Josh Boone (208-108kg-84, college: Connecticut). He played recently at Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank in Chinese CBA league. In four games this season he averaged 14.8ppg, 13.5rpg, 1.0spg and 1.5bpg.
Last season Josh Boone posted 19.0 points and 1.8 blocks per game for Zhejiang.
The previous (10-11) season Boone played at Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (CBA) in CBA. In 35 games that season he had very impressive stats: 16.8ppg, 10.6rpg, 1.0apg, 1.0spg and 1.8bpg. He can count that season as a very successful as was selected to Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese CBA Honorable Mention.
In 2006 he was drafted by New Jersey Nets (NBA) in first round (23rd overall). Boone attended University of Connecticut and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball.
Among other achievements he received NABC All-NCAA District 1 1st Team award and All-Big East Defensive Player of the Year award back in 2005 at his college time.
Boone has played also professionally in NBA (New Jersey Nets).
Lets have closer look into His outlook: Athletic shot-blocker who runs the floor well and has good hands. An hard worker who can further improve. The best of his game is now in defense, where he can be very effective at any level.
