Rockets recall Patrick Beverley from D-League - Jan 15, 2013

Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey announced today that the team has recalled guard Patrick Beverley (6'1''-PG-88, college: Arkansas) from Houston's single-affiliation NBA D-League partner the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
Beverley (6-1, 185, Arkansas), who was signed by the Rockets on Jan. 7 and assigned Rio Grande Valley, averaged 13.7 points, 7.0 assists, 6.7 rebounds and 2.00 steals in three starts with the Vipers. He came to the Rockets from Spartak St. Petersburg in Russia, where he earned Eurocup MVP for the 2011-12 season and 2012 All-Eurocup First-Team honors. He originally played two seasons at Arkansas before leaving school to sign a professional contract with BC Dnipro of the Ukrainian UBL for the 2008-09 season. Beverley was then drafted by the L.A. Lakers in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2009 NBA Draft and later traded to the Miami Heat. He decided to stay in Europe and signed with Olympiakos in Greece on Aug. 26, 2009. He again joined the Heat for the 2010 NBA Summer League and was signed by Miami on Aug. 2, 2010. Beverley was waived by the Heat at the end of training camp on Oct. 25, 2010. Courtesy of:

Vander Blue to return to D-League - 10 hours ago

Well-traveled Vander Blue (6'5''-SG-92, college: Marquette) has signed a contract with the D-League and is likely to play with the Los Angeles D-Fenders. Blue played with the Guangxi Rhinos of China last season. He went undrafted by the NBA in 2013 but did spent some time with the Boston Celtics. Blue has also served numerous stints in the D-League with the Delaware 87ers, Maine Red Claws, and D-Fenders. His pro career began in Israel with Maccabi Rishon Le-Zion.   [read more]

Carrick Felix returning to D-League - 10 hours ago

Former NBA swingman Carrick Felix (6'6''-G/F-90, college: Arizona St.) will return to the D-League after signing a contract for the 2016-17 season. Felix's rights are held by the Long Island Nets. Felix was a second-round NBA draft pick in 2013 and has spent time with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs traded him to the Utah Jazz in the summer of 2014. Roscoe Smith
Smith signs contract with D-League - 10 hours ago

Former University of Connecticut forward Roscoe Smith has signed to play in the D-League. Smith's rights belong to the Los Angeles D-Fenders. Smith is 6-foot-8 and last played for Greek club Nea Kifissia. He won an NCAA title with the Huskies in 2011, and went undrafted by the NBA in 2014. He was named a D-League All-Star in 2015 and was selected to the All-Rookie third team. He has also spent time with Ironi Nes Ziona B.C.of the Israel Super League.   [read more]
