D-League round 8 best performance: Carleton Scott - Dec 9, 2012

Forward Carleton Scott (203-F-88) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Springfield A., receiving a USBasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Ft.Wayne MA (#6, 2-4) 108-100. Springfield A. is placed at 3rd position in D-League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Springfield A. will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. Scott turned to be Springfield A.'s top player in his first season with the team. Carleton Scott averages this season 14.5ppg and 6.0rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was 24-year old Tyler Wilkerson (202-F-88) of Austin T.. Wilkerson had a very good evening with a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he lead Austin T. to another comfortable win outscoring Idaho S. (#8, 0-5) 113-91. This victory allowed Austin T. to move up to 3rd position in the standings. His team's 3-2 record is not bad at all. Wilkerson is a newcomer at Austin T., but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Garrett Temple (198-G-86) of Reno B. (#7). Temple showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, six rebounds and six assists in the last round. He was a key player of Reno B., leading his team to a 127-98 easy win against the higher-ranked Bakersfield J. (#1, 4-2). The chances of Reno B. not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Temple could try to bring Reno B.'s a little bit higher in the standings. Temple has a very solid season. In 3 games in D-L he scored 19.0ppg.

7. D.J. Kennedy (198-G/F-89) of Erie Bay H. - 28 points and 8 rebounds
8. Aubrey Coleman (193-G-87) of Austin T. - 17 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Sean Evans (203-F-88) of Idaho S. - 17 points and 11 rebounds
10. Demetris Nichols (205-F-84) of Sioux Falls S. - 25 points and 8 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
  



Oshkosh may pursue NBA D-League team - May 24, 2016

Oshkosh officials are considering making a proposal to the NBA, to place a developmental league team in the city. City Manager Mark Rohloff says the Bucks want a D-Leauge team within two hours of Milwaukee. The team put out a request for proposals.
