Legends Select Eight Players in 2012 Draft - Nov 4, 2012

Frisco, TX - The Texas Legends selected eight players in the 2012 NBA Development League Draft tonight to fill out their training camp roster in advance of the 2012-13 season.
With the Legends first selection (8th overall) in the 2012 draft, the Legends selected Christian Eyenga (6'7''-G-89) (6'5" gaurd, Congo). Eyenga was selected in the First Round (30th overall) by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2009 NBA Draft and has spent two seasons in the NBA.

In the second round, Texas picked Sean Singletary (6'0''-PG-85, college: Virginia), 6'0" guard from Virginia. Singletary was selected by the Sacramento Kings in the 2nd round of the 2008 NBA Draft. With the Third Round selection, Texas picked Shay Shine (6'2''-G-89, college: High Point), 6'2" guard from High Point.

Additionally, the Legends selected Darryl Bryant (6'2''-G-90) in the Fifth Round, Marcus Simmons (6'6''-G-88, college: USC) in the Sixth Round, Billy McShepard (6'10''-F, college: Valdosta St.) in the Seventh Round and Kenny Dobbs in the Eighth Round.

D-Fenders Finalize Staff for 10th Season - 5 hours ago

The Los Angeles D-Fenders have finalized the team's staff for the 2016-17 season by welcoming five members to the franchise, it was announced today by General Manager Nick Mazzella. The move comes after four staffers received promotions to the Los Angeles Lakers in the offseason. Isaiah Fox will join Paul Woolpert and Brian Walsh as assistant coaches on the Los Angeles bench. Vander Blue to return to D-League - 1 day ago

Well-traveled Vander Blue (6'5''-SG-92, college: Marquette) has signed a contract with the D-League and is likely to play with the Los Angeles D-Fenders. Blue played with the Guangxi Rhinos of China last season. He went undrafted by the NBA in 2013 but did spent some time with the Boston Celtics. Blue has also served numerous stints in the D-League with the Delaware 87ers, Maine Red Claws, and D-Fenders. His pro career began in Israel with Maccabi Rishon Le-Zion.   [read more]

Carrick Felix returning to D-League - 1 day ago

Former NBA swingman Carrick Felix (6'6''-G/F-90, college: Arizona St.) will return to the D-League after signing a contract for the 2016-17 season. Felix's rights are held by the Long Island Nets. Felix was a second-round NBA draft pick in 2013 and has spent time with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs traded him to the Utah Jazz in the summer of 2014.
