NBA D-League teams can protect the rights of up to three NBA affiliate teams' training camp players. The three players were Trail Blazers training camp participants prior to Portland's season-opener tonight against the Los Angeles Lakers (8:30 p.m. MST, NBA TV).

Jared Cunningham (6-9, 235, Cleveland State, b. 3/6/89), Darren Cooper (6'3''-G-83, college: Portland) (6-3, 180, University of Portland, b. 7/9/83) and Brent Jennings (6-5, 200, Southern Polytechnic State, b. 7/4/88) were also added to the Stampede's training camp roster as local tryout players who tried out in either Portland, Ore. or Boise, Idaho earlier this fall.

The Stampede will also draft players when the organization hosts an NBA D-League Draft party at Legends Pub and Grill on Friday, November 2 at 4:30 p.m. Media and fans are encouraged to attend, enjoy food and drink specials, and meet members of the Stampede basketball operations staff and front office. The Stampede owns seven picks in the eight-round draft, including the third overall selection.

Stampede training camp is scheduled to start November 12 in advance of the team's first game on November 28 at Los Angeles. The Stampede open up the home slate on December 7 vs. Austin at 7 p.m. for a special night, Heroes at the Hardwood presented by Pioneer Federal Credit Union. The team will honor and celebrate active duty and veteran military personnel and their families.
