Bennett
Defending champion of Turkey, Fenerbahce Istanbul (BSL) tabbed 24-year old Canadian international forward Anthony Bennett (203-93, college: UNLV). He started the season at Brooklyn Nets in the NBA. In 23 games he had 5.0ppg and 3.4rpg this season.
The most of last season Bennett spent at the Raptors in NBA. But in 19 games he recorded just 1.5ppg and 1.2rpg. Bennett helped them to win the Atlantic Division title (twice).
He also played for another team Raptors 905 in U.S. semi-pro league D-League earlier that season where in 6 games he averaged 9.2ppg, 3.2rpg and 1.0spg.
In 2013 Bennett was drafted by Cleveland Cavaliers (NBA) as #1 pick overall. He attended University of Nevada - Las Vegas and it is his fourth season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Bennett was voted Latinbasket.com All-Panamerican Games 1st Team in 2015.
He has been also a member of Canadian international program for some years. Bennett has regularly played for Canadian senior team since 2015 and previously for U17 National Team back in 2010.
He represented Canada at the FIBA Americas in Mexico two years ago. Bennett's team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 10 games: 7.6ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.2apg, FGP: 64.7%, 3PT: 43.8%, FT: 64.7%.
Bennett has played also professionally in NBA (Minnesota Timberwolves).

DWAYNE SMITH Bucaneros de La Guaira (LPB) signed 29-year old Canadian international forward Dwayne Smith (198-103kg-89, college: G.Washington). He is a dual citizen owning also Jamaican passport. Smith moved there from played at San Carlos in TBS league in Dominican Republic, but was not approved after all.
