Kyle Wiltjer
Olympiacos S.F.P. Pireus (A1) signed 25-year old Canadian ex-international forward Kyle Wiltjer (208-109kg-92, college: Gonzaga). He was tested by Toronto Raptors in the NBA, but was not approved after all. Wiltjer ended the last season at the Rockets in NBA. But in 15 games he had just 1.1ppg. Wiltjer helped them to make it to the conference semifinals. But the most of that year he spent at another team Rio Grande Valley Vipers in U.S. NBA-G-League where in 31 games he recorded very impressive stats: 20.7ppg, 6.9rpg and 1.6apg. Wiltjer contributed to his team making it to the final after they ended regular season as second best team.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his college team won WCC Tournament for two years in a row (2015 and 2016). Wiltjer was also voted NABC All-District 9 1st Team in 2015 and 2016.
He was also a member of Canadian international program for some years. Wiltjer played for Canadian Senior National Team two years ago and previously for University National Team in 2013.
He represented Canada at the Panamerican Games in Toronto (Canada) two years ago. Wiltjer's team won Silver and his stats at that event were 2 games: 1.0ppg, 1.0rpg.
Wiltjer graduated from Gonzaga University in 2016 and it is his second season as a professional player.
He could be described: He's a highly skilled, versatile big man who can play inside and shoot from the perimeter. If you leave him open, he's going to hit the shot.
