Glasgow Rocks (BBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 26-year old former British international forward Jamie Vanderbeken (210-87, college: Iowa State). He has a double citizenship as he also holds Canadian passport. Vanderbeken played recently at Hebraica in Uruguayan LUB league. In 7 games this season he recorded 9.6ppg, 7.0rpg, 2.1apg and 1.0bpg. The most of last season he spent at Bakersfield Jam in D-League. In 31 games last year he averaged 4.9ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.2apg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Vanderbeken also played at Panionios in Greek A1 earlier that season. In 31 games he averaged 4.9ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.2apg. He was a member of British Senior National Team in 2009.
Vanderbeken attended Iowa State until 2011 and it will be his second season in pro basketball.

Cytavision Apoel Nicosia (Division A) landed 32-year old American swingman Akeem Wright (200-98kg-84, college: Kansas State). He played most recently at London Lightning in Canadian NBL. In 48 NBL Canada games he averaged 14.6ppg, 6.2rpg, 2.9apg and 1.2spg last season. Wright helped them to win the NBL Central Division title. In 52 NBL Canada games he averaged 11.5ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.1apg last season.
