Warren Ward
23-year old guard Warren Ward (196-G-89) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Ottawa and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 13.
He had the game-high 43 points adding eight rebounds and two assists for Ottawa in his team's victory, helping them to beat Laurier (#3, 2-4) 94-83. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Ottawa is placed at 3rd position in Canadian league. They are still close to the very top. Ottawa would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 6-1 record. In the team's last game Ward had a remarkable 59.3% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Ottawa, through which he has constantly improved. Warren Ward averages this season 18.6ppg and 6.6rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Yoosrie Salhia (198-F-87) of league's second-best Lakehead. He is naturalized Egyptian forward in his 5th season at Lakehead. In the last game Salhia recorded impressive 32 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he lead Lakehead to another comfortable win 90-71 over slightly lower-ranked Laurentian (#4, 5-2) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Lakehead consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-4 record. Salhia is one of the most experienced players at Lakehead and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Terrell Evans of league's second-best Victoria. Evans scored 25 points and passed four assists. He was a key player of Victoria, leading his team to a 77-59 easy win against the lower-ranked Lethbridge (#5, 5-4). Victoria needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 3 lost games. Evans has a very solid season. In 9 games in Canada he scored 16.8ppg. He also has 6.6rpg, 2.8spg and FGP: 57.5%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Evens Laroche (193-F) of Concordia - 19 points and 11 rebounds
5. Jimmy Dorsey (188-G) of Cape Breton - 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Kyle Grewal (198-F-88) of UFV - 24 points and 11 rebounds

10. Thomas Scrubb (196-F) of Carleton - 12 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
