Windsor Express added to their roster 26-year old former local star Greg Surmacz (203-102kg-86, agency: Interperformances). Surmacz played last season at AZS Koszalin in Polish TBL league, thanks to his Polish passport as we was considered a domestic player there. In 29 games last year he recorded 5.1ppg and 2.1rpg.
His team won Polish Cup in 2010.
Surmacz was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Polish League Disappointment of the Year in 2010 as his pro career in Poland was not that successful. Hopefully he will d better back in the town where he graduated his college. He represented Canada at the World University Games in Belgrade (Serbia) three years ago. His stats at that event were 6 games: 8.2ppg, 4.3rpg, FGP: 48.0%, 3PT: 27.3%, FT: 50.0%.

Scott dominates in final home game as Panthers defeat Cape Breton 86-82 - 3 days ago
One of the Panthers' all-time greats, Tyler Scott (190-G), put on a show in his final home game, scoring 35 points to lead UPEI past the Cape Breton Capers 86-82. The Panthers (6-12) erased a 10-point halftime deficit behind Scott's dominant second half, where he scored 23 of his 35 points. "It's been a good three years," said an emotional Scott. "I love these guys. They laid it all on the line for me this year and I won't forget them." While the season has been a disappointment, the fina...   [read more]
