Chaz Dudley
I had a chance to catch up with the Beltway Bombers head coach Chaz Dudley here's what he had to say about there 2015-16 campaign....
1.How is the Season going so far? Overall pleased, but there is always room for improvements, especially on relentless team defense and rebounding. Over the halfway point of the season, the Beltway Bombers are the atop of the APBL standings as the #1 seed, with a 8-1 record. We're averaging 126 points per game, and need to really focus our team agenda on defensive stops. I like our mixture of talent, size, speed and unselfishness. I'm juggling losing players overseas, injuries and consistency, but our core guys remain steady.

2.The Bombers are getting ready for the playoffs. What is it gonna take for the Bombers to win another championship? The understanding for each and every game we play, that more can be accomplished by utilizing each others talent, then trying to do it individually. I have a collection of very talented players who were accustomed to being the go-to guy on their respective college/pro teams. They have embraced the Bombers philosophy that un-selfish talent usually beats selfish talent. If we're accountable, play unselfishly, defend, rebound, and protect the basketball, I like our chances to win another APBL chip.

3. The APBL has been a steady league for years now with several talented teams. What do you think it will take to get the league more exposure and sponsors? A collective effort for all the team owners, coaches and players to continue promoting their respective teams and the league, in collaboration with APBL Commissioner Brian Graham. Teams should film each game for player exposure, develop rapport with several agents/scouts, and reach out within the communities the teams are based. There is an abundance of talent in this league that needs to be showcased.

Manhattan Pride: 2016-17 Season Recap & 2017-18 Outlook - 1 month ago
The Manhattan Pride finished a disappointing 2016-17 APBL season, seeded 8th in the APBL and with a loss in a play-in playoff game versus the NYC Black Eagles. "This season was honestly a season I truly want to forget. We made great strides the previous season but then took numerous steps back this past season," said William Modeste. The previous season the Pride were seeded 4th in the APBL. "Disappointing, but successful   [read more]

Beltway Bombers win 2016-2017 Championship - 2 months ago
The #1 ranked Bombers closed out the #2 ranked APBL United 123 -105 to win the American Professional Basketball League championship. Bombers had seven players who scored in double-figures led by the championship game MVP - Derrell Armstrong (6'1''-G-91, college: NC-Greensboro)'s 24pts. It was a total team contribution, with Danny Sumner (6'7''-F-87, college: William & Mary), Boo Jackson, Brian Bridgeforth (6'10''-F), Stretch Veney and Tim Steed(6'5''-G) all scoring in double-figures.
