Chaz Dudley
I had a chance to catch up with the Beltway Bombers head coach Chaz Dudley here's what he had to say about there 2015-16 campaign....
1.How is the Season going so far? Overall pleased, but there is always room for improvements, especially on relentless team defense and rebounding. Over the halfway point of the season, the Beltway Bombers are the atop of the APBL standings as the #1 seed, with a 8-1 record. We're averaging 126 points per game, and need to really focus our team agenda on defensive stops. I like our mixture of talent, size, speed and unselfishness. I'm juggling losing players overseas, injuries and consistency, but our core guys remain steady.

2.The Bombers are getting ready for the playoffs. What is it gonna take for the Bombers to win another championship? The understanding for each and every game we play, that more can be accomplished by utilizing each others talent, then trying to do it individually. I have a collection of very talented players who were accustomed to being the go-to guy on their respective college/pro teams. They have embraced the Bombers philosophy that un-selfish talent usually beats selfish talent. If we're accountable, play unselfishly, defend, rebound, and protect the basketball, I like our chances to win another APBL chip.

3. The APBL has been a steady league for years now with several talented teams. What do you think it will take to get the league more exposure and sponsors? A collective effort for all the team owners, coaches and players to continue promoting their respective teams and the league, in collaboration with APBL Commissioner Brian Graham. Teams should film each game for player exposure, develop rapport with several agents/scouts, and reach out within the communities the teams are based. There is an abundance of talent in this league that needs to be showcased.

Beltway Bombers - 2 months ago
The 2X American Professional Basketball League (APBL) champion Beltway Bombers do not use the the "defending ". Bombers CEO and Head Coach Chaz Dudley has instructed his players and assistant coaches to not say defending champs. "It connotates a defensive posture" says Coach Chaz. "What we accomplished last year in winning our 2nd APBL chip was a great achivement, but this season is a new journey. We are not defending, we instead are aggressively pursuing our 3rd". While the Bombers are d...   [read more]

The Empire State Basketball Club Join the APBL During the 2017 Season - 4 months ago
The Empire State Basketball Club is new to the Atlantic Professional Basketball League but they are already making noise in their first season of competition. The team was started by APBL veteran Nate Young (6'7''-F-86). Prior to starting the team, Young spent five years playing and working with the Manhattan Pride. Young stated that his time with the Pride was a great experience but he felt that it was just time to move on and start his own organization. He praised the Pride organization...   [read more]
