The American Basketball League to Hold All Star Showcase in Orlando, Florida - Aug 8, 2014

The American Basketball League will showcase its top talent Friday, August 8th at the Winter Park Community Center in Winter Park, Florida. Tip-off is set for 7pm. This showcase will be live-streamed to 15 European and South American professional basketball teams, that will be looking to sign ABL talent from this event. "We are pleased and fortunate to be able to showcase our top talent through this event to professional basketball teams worldwide, who have shown the interest to evaluate our ABL talent one more time in hopes of being able to sign the players to overseas professional basketball contracts," stated commissioner Eric Newsome. The ABL players that will be participating in this inaugural event are looking forward to putting on a good show for the teams that will be in attendance from around the world, via live-stream.

The following selected players are those that will be present in the All Star game:

Kevin Bruce - a 6'2" Guard from the Orlando Lightning
Bryan Bynes (6'3''-PG-90) - a 6'3" Guard from the Palm Beach Hurricane
Charlie Coley (6'7''-F-86, college: Charlotte) - a 6'7" Forward from the Palm Beach Hurricane
Sergio Crowe (6'4''-G-88) - a 6'4" Guard from the Pompano Beach Cobras
Chris Elder (5'11''-G, college: St.Francis, IL) - a 6' Guard from the Pompano Beach Cobras
Charles Funches (6'8''-F-88, college: Hampton) - a 6'9" Center from the Pompano Beach Cobras

Orlando Lightning capture 2015 title - 2 Years ago
The Orlando Lightning complete an undefeated season by defeating the Orlando Whalers last night and by doing so capture the ABL 2015 Championship. Nnaji McDaniel (6'7''-F-92) led the way with 22 points, with Vincent Dillard (6'5''-G/F-92, college: Charleston Un.) adding 19 points respectively. Orlando Lightning edge defending champions - 2 Years ago
The Orlando Lightning recorded the fourth straight victory in the ABL season. They knocked down the Fort Lauderdale Sharks 105:98 to stay undefeated on the season. Raheem Lemons (6'5''-F, college: Central State) was pivotal for the winners. She tallied 19 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists for the Lightning. Lightning win season opener - 2 Years ago
The Orlando Lightning started off very strong leading the very tough Orlando Whalers 27 to 18 at end of the first quarter. The Lightning continued to play unselfish basketball in the 2nd quarter earning them 17 assists in the first half and going into the halftime leading 53 to 38.
