Pride Becomes Generals Downfall - May 2, 2010

Corydon, Indiana-Today the Southern Indiana Generals squared off against the Southern Illinois Pride. The Pride won 115-99, leaving the Generals with a 1-1
record. The game was tied at halftime. It was a back and forth game for most of the game. In the end the fast breaks were too much for the Generals. Gus Moss
led the Pride with 34 points. Vince Mack had 24 as well. As a team the Pride hit 17 three pointers. They started the game on fire, hitting 5 of their first 7
three point attempts. The Generals were lead by local talent. Craig Adams (Crawford County) had 28 points and 5 assists, Bradley Smith (Lanesville,
Indiana U. Northwest) had 26 and 7 rebounds, Brian Mercer (South Central, Black Hawk Community College) had 21 and 9 rebounds, Kurt Savely (Corydon Central,
Ancilla Junior College) had 12, 9 assists and 6 rebounds , Chad Backherms (Corydon) also had 12 and 5 rebounds. Next week the Generals travel to
Evansville to play the Tri-State Tankers.
The Centrallia Pride are new to the league, moving over from the failed Midwest Basketball League.

Orlando Lightning capture 2015 title - 2 Years ago
The Orlando Lightning complete an undefeated season by defeating the Orlando Whalers last night and by doing so capture the ABL 2015 Championship. Nnaji McDaniel (6'7''-F-92) led the way with 22 points, with Vincent Dillard (6'5''-G/F-92, college: Charleston Un.) adding 19 points respectively. Orlando Lightning edge defending champions - 2 Years ago
The Orlando Lightning recorded the fourth straight victory in the ABL season. They knocked down the Fort Lauderdale Sharks 105:98 to stay undefeated on the season. Raheem Lemons (6'5''-F, college: Central State) was pivotal for the winners. She tallied 19 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists for the Lightning. The Orlando Lightning started off very strong leading the very tough Orlando Whalers 27 to 18 at end of the first quarter. The Lightning continued to play unselfish basketball in the 2nd quarter earning them 17 assists in the first half and going into the halftime leading 53 to 38. It was in the 4th quarter where the Lightning closed the game out with ball movement and dominating the boards. This brought the Orlando Lightning their first victory 97 to 70.
