ABI will have its Tip Off Classic with four of its teams from Liga Elite de Baloncesto de El Salvador and ABI. March 25-27, 2011 are the dates for the ABI Tip Off Classic which at that time the league will showcase four of the best team in it. SAN MARCOS, EX ALUMNOS COLEGIO SALESIANO, (ExSAL), Gladiators, Wolf Packs, we will play a 20 game season for about 21/2 months which would allow everyone to see the level of play and the talent in this league. The leaguewill consist of 10 to 12 teams from USA, Central and South America. Our Central America teams with their Commissioner Yamil Bukele has got the best talent and teams out of El Salvador and now the wait is over and everyone is ready to play in Birmingham, Alabama for the classic. Commissioner Anthony Toney said to Usbasket.com that talks with Optima Gent of Belgium led by Belgian NT member Domien Loubry (6'1''-G-85) playing in a series of games or tournament in January 2011 could be work out soon.
These are the statements of Toney: 'This is one of the many European teams and leagues that the ABI will have a chance to show the level of play of the league. We look forward in the up coming days finalizing the detail for this trip

Commissioner Anthony Toney stated to Usbasket.com that talks between the league office and former NBA players Kenny Anderson (6'1''-G-70, college: Georgia Tech), and Jason Lawson (6'11''-C/F-74, college: Villanova) as coaches could happen soon.
These NBA Players would bring a ton of experience to the league, said commissioner.
