The American Basketball Association (ABA) released its Pre-Season Power Rankings with the defending ABA Champion Jacksonville Giants topping the 25 team list. "The ABA has again had record-setting expansion," stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman . "We will have nearly 120 teams competing this year. Choosing the Top 25 is not an easy task. With the season starting in about two weeks, we'll get a good idea of the contending teams.

Teams to watch include the La Crosse Showtime, Arizona Scorpions, Memphis Jazz, Charlotte Rams, Atlanta Rappers, Atlantic Coast Cardinals, St. Louis Saints and PG Valor. "The quality of players signed this year is outstanding, definitely many with G-League, NBA skills and I would not be surprised to see many called up," added Newman. The 2017-2018 season begins with a match-up of four Far West teams on Friday, October 28 including the Orange County Novastars, Las Vegas Wizards, Team Trouble and the San Diego Surf.

The American Basketball Association (ABA) has just released its Power Rankings through Sunday, Nov 12, and the South Florida Gold moved to the #1 position with a perfect 4-0 record. The ABA Chicago Fury are off to a 2-0 start for the season. In first game the Fury won 157-116 over Team Network.
