The Lions Basketball (formerly known as Charleston City Lions) of The American Basketball Association has just communicated to Usbasket.com that the new team name is exactly "LIONS BASKETBALL" Also, the team has added fresh faces to their roster for the 2016-17 season.
The Lions have solidified six rookie players and three veterans well known to the Mid-Atlantic region for the upcoming season. ABA All-Star players, Marquis Agnew (5'9''-G), Melvin Garrett (6'6''-F-82, college: Salem Intern.), and Mareo Thompson (6'2''-G) will once again lead the Lions to victory together. In addition; Quin Martin, Corliss Agnew, Jermale Turner, Brandon Agnew, DeAndre Dotson, and Devantae Gray join the team with something to prove this season. The Lions are currently seeking to add several players before the season opener on November 5th in Greenville, SC. Interested players should visit www.lionsdenbasketball.com for try-out information.
