ABA Final Four to return to Jacksonville, Florida - Jan 24, 2013

The American Basketball Association (ABA) has just announced that its Final Four Playoffs will return to Jacksonville, Florida, the home of the defending ABA Champion Jacksonville Giants.
"We are very pleased that Ron Sholes and the Jacksonville Giants organization will be hosting the tournament.Once again this season, the Giants are the #1 team in the ABA Power Rankings," stated Joe Newman , ABA CEO. "The Giants have an excellent organization and a great fan base; we believe the Final Four will be an outstanding event."
The top two teams in the Final ABA Power Rankings will get a bye into the Final Four. Thirty-two teams will compete for the other two positions. The Final Four will run from Thursday, April 11 through Monday, April 15th. The first round will be single elimination with the winners playing a best of three series.

Georgia Gwizzlies' Gregory Howard (6'4''-G-89, college: Walsh) showed why he was drafted by the NBA D-League. Howard scored 39 points in a win Saturday at Birmingham Blitz, Alabama 124-118. Then Sunday at Georgia Kingz in Augusta, Georgia, Howard tied a Gwizzlies team and ABA League record with 61 points. Howard's total is 100 points in last weekend...
