John Riad
(from www.calgarycrushblog.com) With another double digit victory at home the Calgary Crush stay undefeated and took down the Lakewood Panthers 119-92. The Crush opened up their 10th game of the season with a quick start and put together a strong 1st quarter. Leading the way for the Crush was sharp shooting John Riad (6'2''-G-81) who put up a quick 15 points in the 1st. Riad finished with 19 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds.
The Crush big men had another feast on some very tender Panther cuisine. With Joseph Atangana (6'4''-C-84) on the sidelines for a second straight game, the Crush front line stepped up with an energetic showing on the glass. The Crush out rebounded the Panthers 59-32 with Chris Wright (6'8''-F/C-83) leading the way with 9 boards to go along with 17 points. Sean Peter (6'3''-G-84) had another 20 point performance and added 8 rebounds in the win.
The Panthers fell victim to that nice Calgary home cooking as the Crush served up another powerful performance. With an 8-0 home record this season the Crush are dismantling any team that crosses the boarder looking for a plate. With a 37 point average margin of victory at home the Crush have found a hearty recipe including 14 pungent ingredients that have been fully prepared for your enjoyment.

Jersey Express - Rookie of the Year nomination - May 16, 2016

The Jersey Express believes they have the 2015-2016 ABA Rookie of the Year. First year pro Denzel Mensah (6'3''-G-93), affectionately known as 'Blade' for his uncanny resemblance to the comic book character, is averaging 11pts, 5rbds, 2.5asts, 1stl, and 1block per contest. Far from monstrous stats, but stats don't show you the monster he is on the court. Team owner Marsha Blount, said 'Denzel adds a passion and a toughness to the team. 'Blades' every movement oozes confidence. He backs it...   [read more]
